Review:
I finally got to see this movie at a bargain theaters here in El Paso on Labor Day. At first I thought hadnt much about the film, but has since left the regular theaters here in town, and I realized that he wanted to Id Id go to see him. I remember hearing many external critics blasting the film as awful and wanted to judge for myself. Im very happy that I finally saw this film is not the usual movie.This Clash of the Titans / Jason and the Argonauts type of film, where the gods continuously displayed and presented as more important and powerful than humble husband. In fact, all this movie ignores the so-called gods and instead emphasizes the fall - the warriors themselves. I studied in the Iliad, as well as other stories about the mythical Trojan War, from my days as an elementary school nerd obsessed with mythology and Dungeons & Dragons. Instead of being directed at this audience, demystifies this movie the Trojan War, and deals with the way in which you could actually happen. We can see that the elders who constantly rely on their so-called gods come across as fools. One of the most telling line is when Hector (Eric Bana), refers to the fact that Apollo did not hit Achilles (Brad Pitt), desecration of a statue. It is telling that Hector seems to question the gods who have been taught that worship.I has been a longtime critic of Brad Pitt as a secondary talent became famous only because of their appearance, but in this movie surprised me. He is a real star in the film. Achilles is easily the most interesting and entertaining character. I welcome Brad Pitt's effort in creating his character a tragic hero. Achilles recognizes that there is no son of the goddess and immortal and invulnerable. In fact, the film's how language can flourish in a playful self. Achilles immortal legend. He even refers to my favorite scene when he inspired his people and begins the invasion of the heavily outnumbered and still win. Later in the same scene is mocking the so-called gods of the Greeks and the Trojans worship after decapitating a statue. I found this scene emblematic of the movie itself. The gods are nothing, so signs and audience.Instead on supernatural powers and impossible feats were treated with realism. Even Achilles' death is more realistic than the myth. In the myth that Paris killed Achilles with an arrow, but because he did not have the opportunity to fight with his hand Apollo.If actually lead was one thing I did not like about this movie was the transformation of Paris, a sort of hero. Paris was a coward in the original myth, and I saw no reason to convert it to a night completely in the film. I think Orlando Bloom fans would not be able to wear it seen as a bad guy and had a slightly lower conversion of Paris in better athletes than Robin Hood.While this movie was nowhere near the epic masterpiece that producers hope that was advertised, they do not deserve bad publicity he received from critics. I applaud the makers of this film, and I look forward to buying it on DVD.
